Vizzit.tv allows anyone to upload and broadcast on-demand video free of charge.  The videos are stored on a dedicated, high-performance server, descriptively captioned, categorised by county, and tagged.  Each county sub-division links back to the appropriate Vizzit online magazine, to give the viewer more background on the area they are interested in.  Vizzit.tv also contains a blog, with information about individual subscribers.

Many of you will already know, have heard of, or been involved in some way with the Lymington based Oakhaven Hospice Trust. For those of you that have not heard about the Trust then this is your opportunity to find out more. This truly amazing Lymington based charity provides specialist palliative care and support to those facing life-limiting illness and their loved ones in both a home and hospice setting. The team of specialist Oakhaven nurses, doctors, counsellors and physiotherapists ease physical symptoms and offer psychological, spiritual and social support.

Clearly to ensure that continuity of these services is maintained, Oakhaven need to continually raise funds from a variety of different sources.  A large part of the financing however comes from various fundraising events that take place throughout the year. The events are organised by the Oakhaven Fundraising team,  in conjunction with the many Oakhaven supporters and friends. At Vizzit we are proud to say that Oakhaven  has been for a number of years our chosen charity for the New Forest area. We feel  privileged to have such a close association with the team, and our work together continues in so many ways. One of the ‘fun’ annual fund raising events that Vizzit organise is The Oakahaven Hot Curry Challenge (see also Curry V Online Video article) that takes place each year at the Dynasty Cuisine in Brockenhurst. The event is now becoming a ‘must see’ (or for those with masochistic tendencies) a ‘must take part’ where contestants attempt to eat the hottest curry that you can imagine. The word is spreading with last years event attracting competitors from Bournemouth and Portsmouth. This years event proves to be even more ‘hotly contested’ (sorry) with a special Chilli being grown in Vizzit MD Richard Lock’s garden!
